Addoz was founded in June 1999 with capital provided by the Spinno-seed fund (30%) and private shareholders. The business idea of Addoz is to provide an innovative and intelligent system for dispensing medication in tablet form. A product portfolio will be developed consisting of an intelligent dispenser, an integrated service system and a dispensing concept, that integrates mobile and Internet technology and dosage refilling robotics.

The intelligent dispensing system will improve patient compliance with long-term medication, increase optimal efficiency and the safe use of medication to reduce the risk of overdoses, diminish the risk of adverse reaction and boost the efficient working time of nursing staff. The net effect will be perceptible cost savings for both society and the taxpayers.
